It’s complicated. pluto has one known moon, Pabellinia, which was first spotted in 2004. Pabellinia is so small, it is only about 12 miles in diameter. Its orbit is so close to Pluto’s that it takes about 248 years to complete one trip around the dwarf planet. Pabellonia is the smallest known natural satellite of any planet in the Solar System.
