It is still unknown whether pluto has moons orbiting it. This is mainly because the only way to know for sure is to fly by the dwarf planet and take high-resolution images of its surface. The New Horizons mission did fly by Pluto in 2015, but it took images of Pluto’s surface from a distance of about 7,400 miles. The spacecraft did not have enough fuel left to take any closer images.
