How to water orchids regularly?
As I have mentioned previously, orchids grow best under moist conditions. Watering orchids too little or too often can cause the roots to dry out. Water your orchids when the soil is dry about half an inch from the top of the roots. If you are using a pot, water it until the water level is just above the rim. Don’t let the water remain standing but let it drain. Orchids also like to be watered in the early morning.
How to water orchids without drowning?
When watering orchids, always use a watering can. Water is absorbed by the roots best when it is absorbed slowly. Use a watering can with a rose or bulb head, or a bucket with a slanted rim. Avoid watering during the hottest part of the day, which will increase water loss. Watering in the evening will help prevent the plant from drying out overnight. Never water orchid roots when the plant is dry. Water the roots only when the soil is completely dry to the touch

Most orchids don’t need lots of water, but they do need a consistent supply of water. A medium-sized orchid needs about 1-3 inches of water per week, and a large plant or one growing in a pot needs between 2 and 4 inches of water per week.
