Snow in New Mexico yesterday?
Not everybody is going to be happy about snow in New Mexico. The northern reaches of the state are used to snow. The southern part, where the climate is desert, is not. But, it's not the end of the world! We're not complaining about white stuff on the ground, are we?

However, lighter snow is expected to be more of a problem today in mountains and higher terrain, with areas such as the Carrizozo area near Albuquerque bracing for up to 8 inches of snow today.

Today, snow is still falling in the mountains but is tapering off. The snow is expected to continue to melt and runoff throughout the day.

Snow is likely to end early this morning, with rain and freezing rain developing overnight. This will eliminate any lingering snow showers, and turn the temperatures up to near 40 degrees. However, the snow will still be on the ground, and could make travel difficult for drivers and pedestrians.
